# SeaReady > SeaReady (https://seaready.net) is an offline-first ship inspection readiness app for seafarers of every rank. It helps crews prepare for SIRE 2.0, RightShip, CDI (chemical and gas), OVID, BIQ5 barge and Port State Control inspections (Paris MoU, Tokyo MOU and USCG). The core inspection toolkit is free; AI features, the officer tools, ship-file sharing, the office (shore) dashboard for the company between phones and speak-to-type are paid. SeaReady installs from the browser like an app on phones and computers and keeps ship and personal data on the device, so it works at sea without a signal. On the trial and every paid plan a person's own data stays in step between their own signed-in devices, photos and voice notes included. On Officer Pro or a ship licence the ship's inspection file, with its photos and voice notes, syncs between the ship's phones by IMO number. Sync goes through the SeaReady server: phones sync over the ship's Wi-Fi whenever it has internet (VSAT or Starlink) and in port; without internet each phone holds its changes until the connection returns (no phone-to-phone sync on a ship network without internet yet). Inspection question wording is SeaReady's own preparation text, not official OCIMF/RightShip text. ## Free features (core inspection toolkit) - Inspection regimes: SIRE 2.0 (12 chapters, numbered like the OCIMF Question Library, own wording), RightShip RISQ, CDI 10th edition (chapter 5 for chemical, LPG, LNG, product and dry bulk ships), OVID/OVIQ, BIQ5, and Port State Control prep for every ship type (Paris MoU, Tokyo MOU and the other MoUs): over 300 items per ship type across 24 deficiency areas, 22 "demonstrate" tests the PSC officer may ask for, and packs for oil, chemical and gas tankers, bulk, container, general cargo, passenger/Ro-Pax, ro-ro, offshore and livestock ships — each answered like SIRE 2.0 with photos, the date and who checked it, detainable items flagged with the reason; a PSC pre-arrival pack (notifications, FAL forms, the inspection start to finish), PSC action codes in the findings tracker, PSC questions in the mock inspector, and concentrated inspection campaign tracking (the CIC questions follow the Paris MoU form) - USCG port state control prep for foreign ships calling the USA (Inspection prep → USCG prep): how the Coast Guard targets ships with a QUALSHIP 21 self-check, the 96-hour Notice of Arrival, ballast water, North American ECA fuel changeover, security, what the examiners test on board and what to do if detained; printable, and the progress is shared between the ship's phones when the ship file is shared - Submission Pack for the SIRE 2.0 pre-boarding documents, with deadline countdowns - Zone walk-round, observation workbench, printable inspection report and defence pack - Photo repository that follows OCIMF's official SIRE 2.0 photograph list and numbering (33 core + 3 for the cargo type = 36; shuttle tankers 42) with a "see it like the inspector" lesson, AI-made good/poor pictures and two short clips for every position - Rest-hours planner (STCW / MLC rolling windows), certificate vault that lists the certificates your ship type must carry (missing rows, survey windows from the anniversary date), crew document matrix by ship type and rank, drill planner for every regulated drill with attendance and ship-type scenarios, LSA/FFA tracker with next service worked out from the last, bunkering checklist — all following the ship type and optional ship particulars, every record dated with who did it - Checklists: build your own company checklists (yes/no, numbers with limits, photos, signatures, follow-up questions, due dates), fill them in offline on the phone, sign, print and keep the history; on paid plans SeaReady AI turns your company's Word, Excel, PDF form or photos of a paper form into the same checklist for you to check; ship checklists shared with everyone aboard (Officer Pro, trial, ship licence) reach other phones through our server when the ship's Wi-Fi has internet; a ready-made library of more than 150 checklists in 15 groups, in our own words with the official reference ([handbook](https://seaready.net/handbook/checklist-library)) - Calculators: cargo and bunker quantity with ASTM/API volume correction (Tables 54A/54B/54D, 6A/6B/6D), ullage tables, LNG/LPG and boil-off, squat and UKC, ECA fuel changeover - Deck and engine tools: mooring line log (OCIMF MEG4), ship/shore safety checklist prep, digital permit to work (timed gas readings, validity countdown, authorisation chain, conflicting-permit warning) / risk assessment / toolbox talk with signatures, printable forms by ship type (pre-arrival, arrival/departure, pilot card, anchoring, heavy weather, cargo operations, garbage, standing and night orders), record-book working copies and dated running hours - Crew learning: flashcards with spaced repetition, IMO SMCP phrasebook, cadet task book, medical guide links - Weather and ports: 3-day wind/wave forecast for 550 World Port Index ports or any position, saved for offline use ## Ship tools and calculator cross-checks - Record-book working copies by ship type: oil, cargo, garbage, ballast water, ODS and fuel changeover. Final entries are annotated by corrections; these working copies do not replace the ship’s official books. - Running hours: dated counter readings, cancellation history, machinery lists for the ship type and service intervals by hours or calendar, with forecasts from readings. - Bunkering operations: tank plans and fill checks, before/during/after checklists, LNG and methanol branches, BDNs, sealed samples, quantity checks and draft letters of protest. Follow the ship’s approved procedures. - ISGOTT/BLU preparation by ship type and port call, with dated checks and timed rounds. PIQ/HVPQ preparation by regime, with shared facts and particulars read from Settings. - Rank-based handovers: relevant ship records, outgoing notes, a frozen sign-out snapshot and incoming rechecks and acceptance. - Medicine chest: inventory, expiry and required quantities from the ship’s flag scale, dated stock movements and controlled-drug witness names. Patient medical logs stay private to the person’s own devices. - Sea-service records include ship type, GT/kW and qualifying service categories; future sign-off dates count service only through today. Route progress helps preparation and does not replace the issuing authority’s decision. - Additional calculator cross-checks: GZ/general intact-stability criteria, grain heeling, fresh/dock-water allowance, trim/list ullage correction, air draft, voyage fuel and ETA, ventilation, container stacks, livestock stores and offshore deck cargo and bollard pull. Approved ship manuals and procedures take precedence. - Office dashboard: ship-type filters, overdue-first ordering and shared ship-health counters. Private patient records and personal notes stay out of the office dashboard. ## Paid features - AI mock inspector (voice and text) that interviews and scores you — full version on Officer Pro and ship licence - Officer tools: readiness PDF, findings tracker with offline PMS defect handoff (copy, CSV and one-page print/PDF, plus a dated PMS job-number record; no live PMS integration), next-port PSC targeting with the ship's risk profile worked out the Paris MoU way (high, standard or low risk ship), when the next PSC inspection is likely due (Priority I or II), whether an expanded inspection is likely, and what differs by MoU (EU extras in Paris MoU ports, Tokyo MOU windows, AMSA Marine Orders) (Officer Pro and ship licence; a preview on Free and Crew) - Ship-file sharing between the ship's phones (Officer Pro and ship licence) - Changing phones is self-service: an account works on 2 phones; signing in on a new one lets you choose which old phone to sign out, and on a ship licence the person's ship seat moves to the new phone automatically - Ship licence edit rights: everyone aboard sees every answer; each chapter is changed only by its owner rank and the Master, with a change history the Master can undo (ship history kept for 3 years) - Work together without a ship licence (personal plans, crew groups): when two or more SeaReady users set the same IMO, each is told how many others use it on that ship (a count only, never who; rate-limited, no IMO look-ups). They can start a crew group, choose a Master (proposed, confirmed by another member, accepted by the Master) and opt in item by item — rest hours and training progress with the Master, rank-based edit rights, the ship file (Officer Pro). Nothing is shared without opting in, nobody loses what their own plan gives them, free users can join, and withdrawing deletes what was shared unless the person agreed the Master may keep it. A company ship licence later makes sharing automatic and adds the office dashboard; the group, its Master and shared records carry over - Messages: one inbox for announcements from the ship's Master (ship licence — all crew or picked people, optional "sign to acknowledge", read receipts the Master sees, delivered at once over the ship's internet or at the next sync when a phone was offline; personal-plan crew groups only to members who opt in) and messages from SeaReady (new features, regulation changes, offers, AI gifts), clearly labelled who they are from; pop-up on opening the app, optional phone notifications, reads offline on every plan including Free - Speak-to-type in every text box and voice notes turned into text (any paid plan or trial) - Weekly marine news: the top 15–20 maritime stories of the week from trusted sources (regulation, PSC and vetting, safety, crew welfare, environment, security), summarised in plain words with why each matters to seafarers and a link to the original; saved on the phone to read offline (any paid plan or trial; the free plan reads a sample of the week's stories in full and sees the other headlines); paid plans also browse every earlier week of the last 6 months - AI orals examiner, "explain in my language", AI certificate scanner, AI nameplate troubleshooter, AI guidance on any inspection question ## Plans and how to buy - Free: USD 0 — the core inspection toolkit: read every checklist question title in every regime and answer a free sample in each chapter; your own certificates, your own rest hours, drills, photos, calculators and offline use; a sample of the AI-made training videos and lesson pictures (paid plans: all); a sample of the 1,312 oral exam questions in the offline orals bank; a limited number of watermarked PDFs a month (your own rest-hour record always prints free) — heavy documents (full inspection report with photos, defence pack, full evidence bundle, photo contact sheet, crew reports) are on the paid plans. No AI, no ship-file sharing, officer tools as a preview only - Any paid plan (and the 14-day trial) answers every checklist question, opens all 1,312 oral exam questions and prints every document without limits or watermark - Crew: USD 39.99 per month or USD 399.99 per year + 5% sales tax — 25 AI questions a day, speak-to-type and voice notes, one person on any ship; officer tools as a preview, no ship-file sharing - Officer Pro: USD 99.99 per month or USD 999.99 per year + 5% sales tax — 100 AI questions a day, full officer tools (AI mock inspector, readiness PDF, findings tracker, next-port PSC), ship-file sharing between phones, speak-to-type and voice notes - Ship licence: USD 899 per month or USD 8,999 per year per ship (by IMO) + 5% sales tax — 100 AI questions a day per device and a shared 100 a day per seat for the whole ship (1,000 a day with 10 seats; each extra 10-seat pack adds 1,000), whichever is reached first; Double AI doubles every paid limit; officer tools and ship-file sharing for everyone aboard; up to 10 people per ship (add packs of 10, each USD 719 per month or USD 7,199 per year + 5% sales tax). Rest hours for other crew are kept only on a ship licence; personal plans keep your own record. On a ship licence the Master (only the Master, never other crew) has a Crew training progress page: what each crew member practised — mock inspector and orals scores, photo lessons, training videos, drills, checklist answers — printable as proof that the crew have been prepared - Every new account has a 14-day free trial to try the AI features, no card. Every new ship gets one too - Double AI (in the app): doubles the daily AI questions for 30 days — USD 12.99 (Crew), USD 39.99 (Officer Pro), USD 399 (ship licence, every phone aboard) — or for a year, renewed yearly: USD 129.99, USD 399.99, USD 3,999 (+ 5% sales tax) - 30-day money-back guarantee: the first paid purchase of any plan (monthly or yearly) is refunded in full if asked within 30 days of paying, not after — "Ask for a refund" in the app (the day it is tapped counts, even offline). Double AI add-ons are not refundable once used; one refund per person and one per ship (IMO); the plan stops when refunded - Plans are bought inside the app after signing in: Settings → Account & devices → Plans & billing (crew and officers; the Master buys the ship licence there too). All prices are in US dollars + 5% sales tax.
