Help & FAQs
The Help hub: searchable FAQs, how a ship joins SeaReady, changing phones, and how to report a problem or message us.
Updated 2026-10-11 · SeaReady’s own words. The app changes often — if a screen looks different from this page, tell us from Help → Suggest an improvement.
What it is for
"Help & FAQs" is a small hub with four cards and a contact line: "FAQs" (plans, the ship licence, privacy, inspections, AI and fixing common problems, with search), "How a ship joins SeaReady", "Changed your phone?" (which opens "My phones" in Settings), "Suggest an improvement", and "Contact us / report a problem".
The FAQs page is the same list of questions as the public website, grouped in sections with a search box. "How a ship joins SeaReady" is the four-step story of a ship on SeaReady — the Master adds the ship, the crew join with a code, the company buys the licence, the Master changes — followed by a list of questions on crew groups, what the crew and the office see, leaving, freeing seats, changing phones and syncing over the ship’s Wi-Fi.
Who can use it
Everyone, on every plan. All of it works offline; a problem report written offline is saved on the phone and sent by itself when the connection returns.
Step by step
- Open the menu and tap "Help & FAQs" under Help.
- Tap "FAQs". Type a word in the search box ("Search … questions") and only the matching questions stay, already opened. Clear the box to get the section chips back; tap a chip to jump to that section, and tap a question to open its answer. Some answers end with a link, for example to the company page or the Terms.
- Tap "How a ship joins SeaReady" to read the four steps, each with who does it and where to tap. Under "Questions", tap a question to open it. At the bottom, "Open Settings → Ship" takes you to the ship card and "Share this page (website)" opens the public copy you can send to your office.
- Tap "Changed your phone?" to go straight to "My phones" in Settings and sign an old phone out.
- To report a problem or send a message, tap "Something not working? Report a problem or send us a message". Write what happened in "What went wrong / your message", check "Your e-mail (for our reply)" and tap "Send". The page you were on, the app version and the screen size go with it automatically, so you do not need to describe where you were.
Tips
- Search the FAQs with one or two plain words, for example "refund" or "join code". Every word you type must appear in the question or answer.
- For an urgent inspection-day problem, say so in the message — it is prioritised.
Limits and good to know
- The FAQs, the ship-process page and the problem-report form work offline. A report written offline waits on the phone and is sent when there is internet; you are told "No connection — saved on this phone".
- A problem report needs at least a few words and a valid e-mail address so we can reply. Messages are up to 4,000 characters.
- The "Suggest an improvement" card opens the contact form on the website, which needs a connection.

Use it in the app
The same page sits inside SeaReady under Help → Handbook and behind the “?” in the screen’s header, and it reads offline at sea.
