What it is for
The "Quick Reference Toolkit" is a small offline reference in three tabs. "Regulatory" is a digest of four current topics — CII tightening in 2026, the IMO Net-Zero Framework, the MLC 2025 amendments and the IHO S-100 ECDIS transition — each with a status pill (for example "In force" or "In progress"), a short plain-English note and a box headed "The Master must" listing what the Master should know and be ready to discuss.
"High-risk transit" holds two quick cards: a "BMP Maritime Security 2025 — quick checklist" (before, during, if approached or attacked, after) and a "GNSS spoofing / jamming — quick action card" (recognise, respond, report).
"Glossary" explains 21 inspection and regulatory terms in plain language — SIRE 2.0, CVIQ, PIQ, HVPQ, PIF, SOC / NOC, TMSA, VIQ7, CIC, DMLC, PSC / MoU, ALARP, VHP, MPX, DPA, CoC / CoE, ORB, UKC, VDR, ESD and IGS.
Who can use it
Everyone, on every plan including Free. Works offline.
Step by step
- Open "Quick reference" from the Learn group of the menu.
- Tap the "Regulatory", "High-risk transit" or "Glossary" tab.
- In the glossary, type in the search box ("Search terms — e.g. PIQ, CIC, UKC…") to filter by term or by the words in its definition.
- In "Regulatory", read the status pill, then the "The Master must" box for the points an inspector may raise.
Tips
- Before a high-risk area, go through the "Before the transit" column with the bridge team; the card is a prompt, not a replacement for the Vessel Hardening Plan.
- If a position jumps on the GNSS, the spoofing card’s "Respond" column is the order to work in: call the Master, do not silence the alarms, cross-check with radar and visual.
Limits and good to know
- The digest is a summary in SeaReady’s own words, not the regulation itself; follow the company circulars and the flag’s notices for the rule as it applies to your ship.
- Nothing on this page is saved or shared; it is read-only reference text.
