Dashboard

Your readiness score, the countdown to the next inspection, what is due and the tools picked for your rank, all on one screen.

What it is for

The dashboard is the first screen after you sign in: your ship’s readiness at a glance, the countdown to the next inspection, anything that is due or overdue, and the tools that matter most for your rank. Its title is your ship’s name followed by "Command Dashboard", with the ship type, flag, IMO number, your rank and the inspection regime underneath.

Who can use it

Everyone, on every plan including Free. On a ship licence the Master also sees a "Your crew (Master only):" row with links to the crew’s rest hours and training progress; crew never see each other’s.

Step by step

  1. Read the warnings at the top first. A red bar means an inspection date is in the past ("Set a new date"). A camera bar means repository photos are over 6 months old or expire within 30 days ("Open photos →"). After 30 days away from this phone a "Welcome back" bar offers "Catch up" or "Not now"; otherwise a quiet "Been away from the ship? Catch up" link stays there.
  2. Back up when asked: once a week, if the phone holds data and no backup was made for 7 days, an amber bar says "Back up your vessel file — one tap." Tap "Back up now" or "Remind me tomorrow".
  3. Check the "Readiness" card. On tankers and gas carriers a ring shows the SIRE 2.0 score with the counts of Ready, Needs work, Not ready and Unassessed questions, plus any critical risks still open. On other ships the card shows how many items are ready and assessed and an "Open … module" button for your regime.
  4. Use "Countdowns & Vessel": "Next inspection" shows the days left (or "overdue") and has a date box you can change right there; a second inspection appears below it if set. "Photo repository (6-month cycle)" counts positions done and opens the repository. "Active campaigns" lists running and upcoming campaigns. "Open observation responses" counts open responses and opens the "Workbench".
  5. Work the "Top risks — open critical findings" list: each question or checklist item marked critical or not ready has a "Fix" button that opens its chapter or zone. When nothing is flagged the card says so and suggests running the self-inspection.
  6. Scroll down for "This week's marine news" (paid plans), the "Training videos" card and the quick actions. The quick actions are ordered for your rank, with the top three badged "For you" — every tool stays one tap away under Tools and More.

Tips

  • In the final 30 days before boarding on a SIRE, RightShip or OVID inspection a "Submission pack" bar appears with the days to go and the deadlines — tap "Open pack".
  • When an inspection is 4 days away or less, the countdown reminds you that PIQ and certificates must be final at least 48 hours before boarding.
  • The numbers are colour-coded: red is overdue, amber is 30 days or less, green has time.

Limits and good to know

  • Everything on the dashboard works offline. The marine news card shows only on the trial and paid plans.
  • On the free plan only the first 2 questions in each chapter can be answered (RightShip and BIQ5: the first 2 sections), so the readiness counts can only move for those; every question stays readable.
  • The countdown stays off until an inspection date is set, and switches off again once the date has passed.
  • Your rank orders the quick actions; it does not hide any tool.

Use it in the app

The same page sits inside SeaReady under Help → Handbook and behind the “?” in the screen’s header, and it reads offline at sea.
