Campaign tracker

OCIMF focused campaigns and PSC concentrated inspection campaigns as live checklists, with windows, days remaining and detention warnings.

What it is for

The "Campaign Tracker" keeps the focused inspection campaigns as live checklists. Vetting bodies and Port State Control regimes announce campaigns that add a set of questions to every inspection for a period — an OCIMF focused inspection in SIRE 2.0, or a PSC concentrated inspection campaign (CIC). Each campaign here has its window, who it applies to, a summary, a warning where detention is a risk, and a list of preparation tasks to tick off.

The tracker currently holds three: the OCIMF focused inspection on vessel hardening (question 7.2.1, asked on every SIRE 2.0 inspection since 1 October 2025, with no end date announced), the 2026 PSC campaign on cargo securing (1 September to 30 November 2026) and the PSC campaign on enclosed space entry announced for 2027, with the dates still to be confirmed.

Who can use it

Everyone, on every plan, and it works offline. Free plan: the first 2 tasks of each campaign can be ticked, the rest are read-only; on a ship licence each campaign has an owner rank (the Master sets extra rights). The ticks are part of the ship’s file, so on a ship licence every enrolled phone sees the same progress. The OCIMF campaign matters to tankers and gas carriers under SIRE and OVID; the PSC campaigns apply to every ship calling at a participating port in the window.

Step by step

  1. Open the tracker from All tools (it is not in the main menu). Only the campaigns for your ship type are listed — tap "Show all campaigns" to see the others too (marked "Not for your ship type"). Each card shows the kind — "OCIMF" or "PSC CIC" — and its state: "Upcoming", "Ended", "N days remaining" or "ongoing".
  2. Read the window, who it applies to and the summary, and any red note about detention.
  3. Tick each preparation task as it is done. The small line under a task says what the inspector expects to see for it.
  4. Watch the progress bar and the done count on each card.
  5. When a PSC campaign is running, switch to Campaign mode for the questionnaire and the printable pack.

Tips

  • For the hardening campaign the SSO and the Master are interviewed and must explain the plan without notes — the last task on the list is exactly that.
  • A "Not confirmed — please check manually" note under a card means a date or detail could not be confirmed from the source; it links to where to check and says when it was last searched.
  • Training without evidence did not happen: logbook entries and dated photos of hardening drills are what the inspector wants.

What the inspector looks for

  • For the hardening campaign the inspector asks for a ship-specific plan risk-assessed to the lowest practicable level, a workable citadel, the access-denial measures and who rigs them, a voyage-by-voyage review and proof the crew trained.
  • For a PSC campaign the campaign questionnaire is filled in on every inspection during the window; the answers are reported to the regime and the detainable ones can hold the ship.

Limits and good to know

  • The tracker holds only the campaigns loaded in the app and is updated as OCIMF and the regimes announce them; the footer says which campaign set it was last updated with.
  • Ticks are ship data and sync through the SeaReady server with the ship’s file whenever the phone has internet; offline, changes are held on the phone until the connection returns.
  • The tracker has no print of its own — print the running PSC campaign from Campaign mode.

Use it in the app

The same page sits inside SeaReady under Help → Handbook and behind the “?” in the screen’s header, and it reads offline at sea.
